Fitting Types
Aerospace fitting manufacturing produces MS flareless (standard to 3,000 PSI), MS flared (low pressure) and boss port fittings (to 5,000 PSI). Titanium Ti3Al2.5V for weight, 321 SS for high temperature to 800°C.
Thread forms per AS8879 (UNJF) or MS33649. Operating temperature -54°C to 315°C.

Precision Machining
Swiss CNC for fittings to 12.7mm tube, 5-axis for larger ports. Thread cutting or whirling for UNJF. Sleeve and ferrule ±0.02mm for consistent swage. Port contour with O-ring groove ±0.05mm for leak-free sealing.
Chip control critical for titanium: peck drilling, chip breaker geometry, 70 bar coolant. Tool coating: CVD TiAlN for extended life.

Testing and Certification
Full material traceability from mill. FAI per AS9102. NDT: fluorescent penetrant. Hydrostatic proof test for each fitting. Thread Go/NoGo per AS8879. Lot certification with dimensional report and material certs.
Marking per SAE AS478 for full traceability. Surface finish verification for sealing surfaces.
