Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and experienced Magnetic Materials R&D Engineer to join our R&D team. You will be responsible for the formula development, process optimization, and performance improvement of soft and permanent magnetic materials, support the mass production of custom magnetic components, and drive technological breakthroughs in magnetic materials for new energy, automotive, and electronics industries. This role is perfect for professionals with deep expertise in magnetic material powder metallurgy, who want to build industry-leading products with a strong technical platform.

Key Responsibilities 

  1. Lead formula design, R&D, and optimization of soft magnetic materials (ferrite, soft magnetic composite, nanocrystalline) and permanent magnetic materials, to improve magnetic properties, temperature stability, and processing performance.

  2. Develop and optimize the production process of magnetic materials, including powder preparation, molding, sintering, and post-processing, solve technical problems in mass production, and improve product yield and consistency.

  3. Conduct material performance testing, failure analysis, and reliability verification, work with quality team to establish material testing standards and quality control specifications.

  4. Track global cutting-edge technology trends in magnetic materials, develop new material systems for new energy, automotive electronics, and 5G communication scenarios, and apply for invention patents.

  5. Collaborate with sales and production teams to provide technical support for customer projects, and complete customized development of magnetic materials according to customer requirements.

Job Requirements 

Basic Requirements 

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in Materials Science, Electromagnetic Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related majors.

  2. 3+ years of hands-on experience in magnetic materials R&D and production process management.

  3. Profound knowledge of soft magnetic and permanent magnetic material principles, formula design, sintering process, and magnetic performance testing methods.

  4. Familiar with powder metallurgy process of magnetic materials, and the application requirements of magnetic materials in electronics, automotive, or new energy industries.

  5. Ability to use magnetic testing equipment (such as B-H analyzer, impedance analyzer) and material analysis equipment to solve R&D and production problems.

  6. Good English reading and writing skills, able to read international technical documents and technical communication with overseas clients.

Preferred Requirements 

  1. Master's degree or PhD in Materials Science, with research focus on soft magnetic materials or magnetic powder metallurgy.

  2. Experience in R&D of high-performance soft magnetic composites for new energy vehicles or photovoltaic inverters.

  3. Experience in mass production and process optimization of magnetic materials, with a successful track record of new material development and market launch.

  4. Experience in patent application and technology project management.

  5. Familiar with IATF 16949 quality management system and automotive component development standards.
